作品簡介 • Comic Book Introduction‍

被過繼為皇子的「八重」，與在戰亂中識於微時，其後成為皇子近衛的武士「知行」，有終生守護，不離不棄之誓言羈絆。 曾經的信任是如何一步步變成懷疑，直至崩潰破裂 —— 兩人的羈絆在動盪的時代中糾纏。 兩把刀，相生相殺。最後走到的，是了斷，還是放下？

Setting against the backdrop of a fictional ancient eastern kingdom, the story centres the master-servant bond between Yagasane, a boy adopted into the royal family as a crown prince, and Chigyō, a samurai he befriended him during his humble youth in the wartime and later becomes his personal bodyguard.

Their once-unwavering trust gradually turned into suspicion and finally shattered completely but their fates remain entangled in that turbulent time.

Two swords forged for one another, yet destined to clash.  Will their final destination be a fatal reckoning, or letting go?

童年時閱讀《想太多的豬》系列與蔡志忠先生的老莊、佛經漫畫，當中哲意與幽默陪伴我成長，至今仍受用無窮。

我相信——漫畫不只是娛樂，而是令人開悟的方式。

如果能夠透過作品讓人「想多一點」，甚至「想通一點」，是我此刻最大的願望。

In my childhood, I read the “Overthinking Pig” series and Mr. Tsai Chih‑Chung’s comic adaptations of Laozi, Zhuangzi, and Buddhist sutras. The philosophy and humor within them accompanied me as I grew up, and they continue to benefit me till today.

I believe that comics are not merely entertainment—they are a way to awaken the mind.

If, through my work, I can inspire people to “think a little more,” or even to “think things through,” that would be my greatest wish at this moment.

Sluffy 原是小學時與已故好友共同創立的漫畫創作組合。2025年，我以相近讀音「失而復得」，正式成立為創作室，專注於漫畫與IP創作，期望透過作品與讀者一同踏上撫慰心靈、探問哲理的冒險旅程。

Sluffy originated from a manga creation duo I founded in primary school with a late dear friend. In 2025, I officially established our creative studio under this name, focusing on manga and original IP creation.

We hope to embark with our readers on a soul-soothing and philosophical adventure through our work.

疫情期間的低氣壓，意外令我重拾放下二十多年的畫筆，再度開展漫畫創作。「八重知行」誕生時我正處於一段關係中的低落點。在創作過程中，原以為是我在帶領角色前進，最後卻是角色帶我找到我要的答案。期盼作品導己之餘也能讓讀者得到共鳴。

The gloomy of the pandemic unexpectedly prompted me to pick up the paintbrushes I had set aside for over  twenty years and reigniting my passion for manga creation.

Eight Petals Unbound was born during the time I was very depressed in a personal relationship. Initially I believed I was guiding my characters forward, yet in the end, it was they who led me to find my own answers. It is my hope that this work can enlighten myself and strike a chord with readers alike.
